Credence Mortgage is fine. Their rate was 3/8 lower than anyone else was offering me. I was worried at first because they only offered a 30-day rate lock and a competitor told me "it'll be a miracle if you close in 30 days." I was a little annoyed because the loan process was not very easy to get a hold of by phone, but she was reasonably responsive with email. The thing about mortgage processors is, they work at their pace. When I didn't hear from her, it was because she was working on someone else' case, because when he got to me, I was getting new emails every hour.

If you have access to most of your paperwork quickly you can close a loan in 30 days. Credence has fair fees and very good rates. Not necessarily the best customer service, but who cares? Once the loan is closed you will never deal with them again. All I wanted was the lowest possible rate. I would recommend!

Not recommended. Very poor service, not responsible at all. Once you sign up the contract, you are finished. No one will take care of your concerns or questions any more. It's ironic that the company's name is "credence". The truth is that they just believe in money. It's the worst mortgage company I have ever experienced.

Recommend!: The rate was good, the process went smoothly and when I had questions, they were always answered. I will recommend it to any friend or family member.
