Good drink selection. Exotic cuisine to choose from, but I didn't like the appetizers or dinner. Service was average. I don't plan on returning. I had been excited to try this place since it was featured on tv, but I was very disappointed.

Hello Everyone who reads this,

My name is Jeff and I am from Baltimore, Maryland. Back in February (Valentine's Day) my girlfriend and myself went to the Half Moon Restaurant as a present to both of us. She visited Australia for college a few years back and had kangaroo meat and had never had it back over here in the States. We were watching the Travel Channel on TV and saw the episode featuring Half Moon and they showed the kangaroo burger. She got so excited and insisted that we would have to go sometime.

So I figured that Valentine's weekend would be the best. We emailed Half Moon and spoke with Kristin via email who was a HUGE help. She even helped me with selecting a hotel which she did not have to do.

We left Friday morning (February 13th). We got to the hotel Friday evening and we made reservations in advanced with Kristin letting her know that we were coming up because we wanted to make sure we were able to get the kangaroo meat/burger. Kristin advised that the daily wild game changes per day and that it might not be there but they would talk to the chef.

When we got there they remembered we were coming and greeted us when we entered the restaurant. It was great. We felt like VIP's :)

The food was AMAZING! The server (Winden) was AWESOME! The server was GREAT!

I wanted to write a review sooner but have been too busy to do so. I still have the receipt from Half Moon in my wallet! (laugh out loud)

We stop by here every couple months. They have a nice/unique Belgian beer selection with many on tap. The menu is solid with a slant towards wild game. The upstairs bar is nice on a summer afternoon. I would rate it a 4 except we had a really bad tuna appetizer there once. Probably the best place in the area at these prices.
