Eagleville Elementary School is currently celebrating 50 years of excellence. The teachers that teach grades K - 2 have been wonderful.

The teachers that are currently employed to teach third grade have lived up to their reputation of incompetence. They need to be removed from the Methacton School District and be banned from interacting with any child for the rest of their lives.

The current principal is a puppet for the teachers' union. He has no ability to control the monsters that run rampant in this school.

The total number of years that the three third grade teachers have terrorized our children and all the children that have attended this school, should be added to the number of years the principal has been a so called educator. This total should be the number of years the 50 Years of Excellence Celebration should be postponed.

The Methacton School District is currently experimenting with The Everyday Math Curriculum. What a huge mistake and failure. They are following the same road traveled by the Hatboro - Horsham School District when it experimented with Sight Reading instead of using the tried and proven method of Phonics. Hatboro - Horsham produced a population of people who could not sound out words and read easily. Methacton is going to do the same thing to the children of today and the adults of tomorrow.

The Methacton School Board, the third grade teachers of Eagleville Elemetary School and the principal of Eagleville Elemetary School should stop teaching to tests, should stop using unproven teaching techniques and start educating with tried and proven programs. Better yet, since they have caused the damage, they should resign and let a new group fix the damage that they have caused.
