this is the best restaurant, i love this place. the chicken franksinatra was so good. it is so big that i had to bring it home and share with my family. the garlic rolls are the best, if they were a meal i would order them. my server was the son i think. he was so nice and funny we couldn't stop laughing when he would tell something funny and his also introduced us to his girlfriend which was very nice for him to to. for dessert we had the peanut butter ball which was so good. It was the best thing i had ever had. when we got the bill it was surpisingly low for what we got. then when we lefted the owner paid us and the reviews said that she was miserble lady but she was pretty nice. she asked us how was everthing and if this was our first time coming and wished we came back. over all this was a lovely place to eat dinner and i can't wait till we so there again
To whoever wrote the review about needing to be Italian to understand this family and truly appreciate the atmosphere, you are SO RIGHT! I am Italian, my mother owns an Italian restaurant in Newtown and it's the same thing!!!! Unless you grew up in an Italian family, you will be offended by the way the family bicker's back and forth. I get it, I don't care, I love it!! The food is spectacular and reasonably priced. It is the only Italian restaurant we go to on a regular basis....we have never been disappointed!!
I read the reviews before I went to the restaurant and was leary based on the statements made by patrons. My comment is simply that everything was fabulous. The hostess was the owner and very friendly; the waitress was the daughter and was funny and very good.
The four of us shared an appetizer of broccoli rabe with sausage and it was fantastic. The garlic rolls were excellent. The dinner salad was very good as well.
We each ordered a different entree and tasted each one; and they were all excellent.
I ordered the Ocean Pasta and the presentation was incredible. The meal was served on a very large platter with a very generous portion of pasta and seafood. The pasta was perfect and mixed with a generous portion of seafood mixed together with a thick red sauce. Around the border of the platter they arranged the clams and mussels in the shells. The meal was delicious.
For dessert two of us shared a chocolate peanut butter ball that was to die for.
We brought our own wine and enjoyed it with our meal.
As a second generation Italian whose parents came from Naples; I am here to tell you this food is authentic Southern Italian cooking and delicious.
Anyone who does not like this restaurant does not know what they are talking about. This is the real deal and we will be regulars going forward.
My complements to the owner and their family. You run a great place and the food is fabulous.
