   Reliable service - rates keep going...up!: Well, Conestoga is a friendly company with reliable service. It used to have lower rates for comparable local telephone service than Verizon/Bell Atlantic. After living/working in Duuglassville for 6 years now, the rates go up, annually, faster than inflation, and with no added value. And the taxes, "fees", etc keep going up... The DSL rates only came down when Service Electric offered cable internet at a lower price and higher speed...thank god for competition! Anyway, I am glad to have found an option that ends the monopoly on local phone service...but it will take some time for others to learn about it. If you have money to burn, Conestoga is swell; if not, keep looking!
