About:	Sovereign Center, established in 2001 is one of the most regularly used venues in Reading. With an admirable seating capacity of around 7,000 persons, the Arena in the Center is used for several concerts and live entertainment. It is also used for sporting events of basketball, football and ice hockey. Besides that, the Sovereign Center can be converted into the Reading Eagle Theater for shows of smaller audiences of 2,500-4,500. This is one of the most striking aspects of the Center which makes it extremely convenient to host large events. Also, special rooms within the Center are available for private events.
