The owner and son have provided us 22 years top Japanese food, we can't even imagine life without UTAGE. SO SAD!!! Independence Mall just lost their value by losing UTAGE.
So long, UTAGE. you are greatly missed, and we are looking forward your next announcement--grand openning somewhere else.-

We won't even go to the other 'sushi' place in DE. We've lived in DE for 6 years now and eat at Utage's at least once every 2 weeks consistently. The food is great, the sushi fresh, and the service friendly. We have entertained our Japanese colleagues while visiting DE from MA & they said it was the best sushi they've had since coming to the US 2 years earlier. We love the teriyaki spare ribs... A note on the decor...it is average, in the traditional Japanese style & the bathrooms could use an upgrade but I am reluctant to rate the restaurant on the loo! I rather have great food in an OK setting than OK food in a place with the best bathrooms! At least check out it!
