We like Chili's: Our family has been going to Chili's Restaurant since the early eighties. Although this unit isn't that old, we've found their quality to be consistent with the other restaurants in this chain.
How to describe it? Well, instead of the old fern-bar decorations where they staple yard-sale items to the wall, Chili's decorates their restaurants with old "Chili Cookoff" promotional material. The effect is quaint, until (of course) you go to another Chili's Restaurant and see the same photos and posters there.
We definitely recommend the deep-fried onion appetizer, complete with dipping sauce, and the strawberry margaritas have long been a favorite.
I'd classify the food as Tex Mex, an Americanized blending of the best of these cultures. The flavor mixes are imaginative, and they make their guacamole right there on the premises (I've seen them do it).
This restaurant is a little tricky to get to, as our DOT has laid out a confusing array of roadways near this restaurant. You have to get on a separate access road between Route 4 and Old Churchman Road, pass the SPCA (no, don't go there!), and then you will find Chili's restaurant.
During the summer months you can eat outside on the patio if you like.
The best Fajitas: I go to Chili's at least every 2 weeks. They have great service and great food.
