One of my favorite spots in Wilmington near Hotel DuPont makes it a convenient destination for a night of drinks

Everything tastes better on a stick: My second meal at Washington Street Ale House was a date with my boyfriend last night. The best part was the coconut shrimp. The shrimp is stretched out and served hot on a skewer with marmalade. Yum. The calamari was decent as well. My boyfriend had a reuben that was okay, and I enjoyed the veal scallopini on ciabatta bread. Parking is free by the restaurant, and that is a plus too. The atmosphere is casual and the service good.

Great place for simple meals: The food is good, nothing too fancy, but well made, not greasy or cheap like most bars. It's a little noisy since the bar is so close to the seating area. Great beers on tap, great night life. For the kind of restaurant it is, I give it a very high rating.
