My wife and I and another couple went to the Old Mill Crab House in Ocean City Maryland on Monday and we were not at all impressed. We wanted to order 4 jumbo crabs but we were told we could only order by the half dozen or dozen. We went with the half dozen, but our server, Spencer, came back to inform us they were out of the jumbos and had only No.1s and No.2s. We ordered 8 of the the No.1s and were told that the extra 2 crabs would be $5 each. The crabs were horrible. Being from Maryland, I have been eating crabs most of my 60 years so I suppose I am spoiled. These crabs were light and tasteless. We sent back 2 crabs and Spencer was kind enough to bring back 4. However, out of the remainder 10, 4 crabs were bad. We just decided to leave them in the tray. We also ordered the chicken and that was OK. The corn on the cob was over cooked.
If you should decide to eat at the Ocean City Old Mill Crab House, DO NOT waste your time and money on the crabs. I cannot hold this restaurant completely responsible for terrible tasting, extremely underweight crabs, many restaurants in the O.C. region don't have a clue as to how to STEAM and PREPARE them.
Also, the owner/manager was preparing the mixed drinks and that too was a waste of good money.
Save your money...don't eat at the Old Mill Crab House in Ocean City Maryland.

Stopped at this new place they opened in Ocean City. Man, what a great looking restaurant, it een has a putt putt golf course! They were giving out free games to little kids who ate there. Few of us from college got the AUCE crabs and shrimp and they were awesome! I remember the old place by Salisbury and this place is just as great. Great staff, great music, and spices on everything were really perfect. Everyone just kept ordering more of thos sweet smelling spicy crabs. The staff was nice and attentive. Highly recommend you stop there on vacation. The crabs were big, full, and spiced and steamed just right. Hush puppies were delicious! Our corn was so so, but the watress said they would be getting in local sweet corn as soon as the season starts. Didnt matter, food was excellent and that's why we came there. Crabs and Shrimp were the bomb! For all of us we left full, happy, and ready to hit the town! Great Job just as I remember it Old Mill Gang, THANKS!!!! See you again Real Soon!!!!!

We tried the new Old Mill Crab House in Ocean City on Coastal Highway where Dough Roller used to be. We were not impressed. Of course we are not crab eaters, but we got the all you can eat chicken, shrimp, clams, etc. This meal was about $20 which I thought was too high. It came with corn and hush puppies. The corn was tough; the hush puppies were pretty good. The shrimp and clams were good, but didn't stay hot. I thought the chicken was okay, my fiance didn't like it at all. He thought it tasted gamey. I thought there was an odd smell in the restaurant; I think it was the oil they use. I wanted steam shrimp with my dinner, but that would have been $30...I think that's outrageous. We decided for the money it's better to go to Bonfire. I'm sure if you are into crabs you will love it. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.
