User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis is you typical IHOP chain restaurant served up with a heaping side of insult and laziness. After 12 o'clock, the staff fails to mention that they don't split up checks so you're left to scrap up whatever cash you have in your pockets or car up holders to foot the bill. There are no signs up either warning diners. To add fuel to the fire, the night manager offered my party an apology for the inconvenience and explanation of why this was the case making sure to single out all Delaware State University students who just so happen to get drunk on the weekends, straggle into IHOP, order enough food to feed a military battalion, and then skip out on the bill. It's a good thing I was not a student at DSU otherwise, I may have been offended, but I am a student at DSU AND I was not intoxicated, talking loud, ordering an excess of food, or skipping out on my bill! I even tipped the waitress who after bringing out our food, never returned because sitting down and chattering with other servers was more important at the time, especially with gratuity pre-calculated into my party's bill. It must be hard to find good help in Dover because rudeness and idleness have consistently been the them in every restaurant I've dined in Dover. Its a shame.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat service and hospitality... great servers!: We started stopping through to IHOP on the way to the camper every weekend, we had great servers the whole time!! By the middle of summer we found the best server- Allyson!! Shes our server every time we go! Request her and you'll find the sweetest service youve ever had. She loves our kids, and helps us the entire time-- no matter how busy she is! Shes a great girl.. and the managers are nice too. Ms Edna doesnt let anything bad happen to her servers.. we come in at night, and they are such a big family, its so great!
