Awesome dining experience, and we ate at the bar! Hubby and I went there on Saturday, April 11th, for our anniversary. We live in South Jersey and wanted to do something different, so we took the Cape May-Lewes ferry to Delaware and found Gilligan's Waterfront Restaurant. Andrew, the bartender, was fantastic, so we felt comfortable enough to eat at the bar. It was fun sitting at the bar which overlooks the waterfront marina. The food was great. You could tell that extra care was taken in it's preparation. The presentation was great and the portions were perfect. A few of the things we'd like to rave about would be their crab cakes, their Asian slaw, their island egg roll with pulled pork and an orange sauce for dipping, and their fries were done to perfection. I especially liked dessert. We got a toffee cheesecake that had carmel sauce on it with a delicous cream of some sort. Just fabulous! After having drinks and some good food and conversation with Andrew, we then headed back to the ferry for our return to South Jersey. We had a fun day and definitely plan to head back to Gilligan's again soon.
