I have a friend who had dental veneers put on by Doctor Hatfield and they were very well done. His teeth look straight and his new smile is amazing. I recommend this dentist for anyone looking for good quality in the Kent County district.
Couldn't wait to leave there: The staff in the office is very nice and professional, however, the quality of dental work, in my opinion is poor. He made a crown for me which was too big, but he tried to use it anyway, forcing it into the space. It cracked the tooth next to it, which fell away in chunks in the following months. The crown itself stayed in a week, fell out, was put back in, and fell out again a week later. By that time, he has already done work on another family member which resulted in a lot of blood because he failed to stitch the gum when it should have been or the family member should have been referred to an oral surgeon. The whole thing scared me so bad that I wouldn't go to a dentist for well over a year, despite 2 broken teeth, a tooth prepped for a crown but the crown not on, and an abscess. The only thing that made me go to a different dentist was a toothache and cavity on the front tooth. Since I left him, I have had one root canal, another one is being scheduled, I also have a lot more dental work to go. However, the worst part is the fear. I didn't like dentists much before I went, now, I am terrified. My new Dentist is having to deal with my fear and put my mouth back together. I left a fairly competent dentist because he didn't take my insurance, and prices were going up - but I really wish I hadn't. If your teeth are perfect, and just need cleaning once in a while, but no work, then he's the dentist for you. (His hygenist is very nice and very competent) If you need work, look on for another dentist.

You stated that there was a lot of blood due to lack of stitching, but I am curious to know if you have a dental degree. As far as your teeth cracking...there have been studies that show a lack of personal dental care can weaken enamel which can cause a series of problems including cracked teeth.
