A lil more info:
This place does NOT have any parking available; I assume you must use a nearby Pay lot.
And the person who answered the phone could not even tell me what the closest Metro subway station is to this location; I can likely figure this out myself...but it would do them a lot of good if they were able to speak/understand basic English requests such as this. I would dread being someone needing special services, such as for the handicapped, as who knows where that phone conversation would end up!!! $17.95 for the Mongolian Grille. Good Luck!
Tony Cheng's is my favorite sot in China town.
The Mongolian was more of a novelty to me when I was younger. Although it is still tastey and there is a variety for all....I am now mroe fond of the chinese served upstairs. This is the best Chinese food in DC, hands down. i was saddned to see bad reviews about the service. I have never experienced such service. I am VERY much partial to this restaurant. I am very finicky about Chinese food, and any meats in particular. At Tony Cheng's I know that my food is guranteed to be fresh.
Try it for yourself. I think that you will love it! It is surely worth the prices.
They have two offerings - chinese upstairs and mongolian barbeque downstairs.
the service is mediocre. The manager in the front, literally barks at you, as you enter - chiense or mongolian. like you are supposed to know about this before you come in.
The chinese food is good to great. The mongolian is average to good. There are better mongolian food places in the DC metro area. Parking is difficult. And if there is game on at the nearby stadium, be prepared to be ripped-off by the nearby parking attendant (well, thats just capitalism for you).
Be ready with tip money at the barbeque place, the cooks there are looking out for that. The chinese place upstairs faired better in terms of service too.

I have been in love with this restaurant since I discovered it in the back in 1982. I will stand on my belief that they serve the best Chinese food in the world. There service has always been wonderful. I don't get to eat there as often as I'd like but I can call to get it to go and it's always fresh and hot. I've even tried to go to cheaper places, only to come back to quality and taste.
