| About: | Named after the nearby Washington Post offices, the Post Pub is a natural hangout for journalists, as well as other professionals who work in this downtown neighborhood. The pub is small and nearly always bustling. Post Pub attracts a loyal following, especially during the lunch hour. There are comfy booths and tall stools at the bar and during peak hours make sure you rush in to get a good seat. The menu is downright homey, with the usual burgers and sandwiches supplemented with daily specials like meatloaf, grilled tuna melt, fried chicken or spaghetti. |

Hi all-had a stop over in DC last week and we found this great pub-your pub! Best bar steak we have had in aggggeeessss-wife ate almost of all it!! Thanks Pat for the great service-definitely will be back-keep up the great job!
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSteve Roper ate here: Anyone old enough to remember "Steve Roper" the newspaperman/eponymous comic strip hero will recognize the Post Pub. It has the flavor of a place to meet a deep undercover source (who is too hungry to meet in a parking garage). Appropriately smoky (at least the last time I was there) and ragged around the edges, with cynically efficient service combined with the solid, tasty food and brew you need to fuel long, off the record conversations to draw out the details of a scoop from your unnamed source.
