User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI don't often write reviews, but when I'm truly convinced I've found something special I feel the need too. Since I'm a small business owner myself I can truly recognize and appreciate the level of effort and passion the owners of the Fat Tuna must have for their business. I've dined consistently at the Fat Tuna since moving to the Bethany area about three years ago. I must say the first visit I was somewhat turned off by the "noise level". After I visited so many of the other restaurants in the area and realized how far ahead of the pack the Tuna was, I made it a regular stop. I am constantly made to feel welcome upon walking in the door, the food is not your normal seafoody restaurant stuff.. It's always creative and fresh.. The portions are huge, the salads are incredible, and I have to say that everything is always FRESH!.. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. 90% of the time I have a manager visit my table and ask how things are, even when they are packed to the gills, which is most of the time in the summer... You can tell by their parking lot, that they are one of the busiest places in the area and I truly feel that they deserve to be... My hat is off to the owners and staff, it's one thing to shine one day here and there but they manage to do it day in and day out with what I would guess is an over 400 seat restaurant with two bars and probably close to 100 employees... Fat Tuna: First place I ate in Ocean View was fat tuna. That was almost two years ago.I have been a local for almost that time and keep going back. I find the food a tremendous value and the staff great. The Sunday brunch cann,t be topped. The gentleman from Pa needs to travel around the world as I have and quit eating at Burger King or McDonalds.

response to Jessie Minameala: In Response to Jessie from Jersey: I think you are way off base. Did you try the signature dish, The Fat Tuna, (cooked Rare). It's sushi grade Tuna...... or the New Zealand mussels, Tuna Sate, salads? No? Awesome! I found the owner to be friendly and professional as she walks the dining room keeping an eye on things and chatting with guests. Keep in mind while you are vacationing from Jersey that a lot of servers in the area are actually students working for the summer and not professional servers. It's just the nature of the area. Get over it, relax and try to have some fun on your beach vacation. And please try not to use crude language in your review. It just is a bad reflection on your upbringing.
The food is good. Some items are better than others as in any restaurant. The room is a bit noisey because sound bounces around everywhere but you can get over it. Live music on the patio in the warm months, Specials.. Sunday Brunch...etc. Give it a try!
