User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreater Goods is what Washington DC has needed for a long time. They have everything I need to live greener... like a Walmart for the eco-friendly crowd.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI'm really impressed by this store. The guy who works there is friendly. I like the fact that he acknowledges your presence when you come in, but doesn't pester you while you shop.
They have a wide range of earth friendly products - some things I haven't seen elsewhere.
Their prices seem reasonable to me.
I also like the fact that they are an independent local business.-

Companions, a great local pet store: Comapnions is one of the last of a dying breed, the local pet store. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they carry a wide assortment of pets and pet supplies as well as grooming. As far as I can tell they are one of the only privately owned pet stores in the downtown Washington area and are a great asset to anyone who owns or wants to buy a pet inside DC.
