About:During the day, government workers, tourists and college students stop by the Irish Times for a heady pint of Guinness or a meal of corned beef and cabbage. But, once night falls, this long-standing Washington pub becomes the haven of college students and other night owls looking for a party. A crooner with an acoustic guitar is present on most weekends to run through his playlist, which includes standards such as 'American Pie' and 'Brown-Eyed Girl'. Expect the crowd to chime in.

    Irish Times had better older times: Used to be 8 stars under the old management. (in 2003). The new management is ok. but not as good. The live entertainment changed. The bouncers who had as much attitude and as they did laughs with the crowd changed and even the menu too. No more wing or burger specials on Saturday night. If I am wrong about the Sat specials add 1 stars. The atmosphere has still changed under the new management - sorry for the low rating. I must admit you can not beat the location! Although I gave it only 2 stars you might find me there in the future. I have high expectations from older times.
