One of my favorite dining experiences.
The food, atmosphere, service all excellent!
I cant wait to return
This is what dining out should be!: We had a fabulous dining experience this evening! Everything was first rate, from the fresh bread, the fantastic salad (even the cherry tomatoes were wonderful), to the entrees! The Lobster Tortallini was to die for. The desserts were out of this world! We cannot wait to return, if not for the food, for the extremely personable and knowledgeble wait staff. Kudos to you Jay!
We can't wait to go back: My fiance and I tried this place for the first time, and we can't wait to go back. For people who think this place is pricey, try the tasting menu for $32 (offered 5:30-7 every evening). The tasting menu includes two courses and a dessert. The restaurant is upscale, but not too stuffy or formal because I felt comfortable in my business casual attire. The waiters were friendly, helpful, and not at all snobby.
The food was fantastic. To start with, they serve 3 kinds of bread with olive oil - the foccacia was my favorite. For the first course, we tried the Mezzelune pasta and ravioli with ricotta and raisins. Both were excellent. For our second (main) course, we ordered the spaghetti aglio olio (excellent) and the saffron rice (OK). For dessert, we tried the "modernized tiramisu." It's served in a martini class with a texture different from the traditional cake-like tiramus. But it was excellent nonetheless.
In summary, I would recommend this place to others. I plan to take my family and friends here, and I will try to come back least once a week.
