| About: | Tucked between shops on busy 18th Street, Bardia's is a great place to step back from the hustle and bustle and refuel. The restaurant's relaxed atmosphere gives you time to catch your breath while you enjoy spicy Cajun jambalaya and pasta dishes. A checkered floor and a handful of tables make this place cozy without feeling cramped. The table in the window nook is best for people-watching. The flavors of New Orleans find their way into meat, seafood, pasta and rice concoctions. |

We had a wonderful lunch here the other day. We were going to dinner across the street the nite before, and were walking the neighborhood, when we spotted this place. We made the trip back for lunch the next day.
We started out with the catfish, with a very crunchy coating, and spiced very nicely. We then had a taste of the gumbo, then each had the etoufee'(I had the crawfish, she had the andouee and chicken).
We then had the freshly made beignets and some cafe au lait, to top off a wonderful lunch.
BARDIA!!: This place is worth checking out just to meet Bardia! He's a very soft spoken, nice man who is guaranteed to make you smile! I love taking my girlfriend there to visit Bardia!
Personable: intimate restaurant. One always feels welcomed when they go to the New Orleans Cafe. It is one of those secrets in Adams Morgan that people don't talk about a lot, they just go there when they want to be with someone special.
