| About: | This is perhaps the best-known venue in Washington for jazz and blues performances. The club is tucked away in lower Georgetown , near the C&O Canal . A number of national acts can be seen here, and the atmosphere is sleek and sophisticated. The place bills itself as a "Jazz Supper Club," and the food is almost as good as the music though much of it is Creole-inspired. On most nights, artists perform two sets, but occasionally a third set is added on the weekend. The cover charge changes each night. Call or check website for details. |

What a great venue to see a variety of LIVE JAZZ. Michael Cooper Project was the most joyous noise I've heard in a very very long time. Prices are reasonable $18-$29 for this intimate setting; no seat is a bad seat. The drinks sneak up on you, and the tasty food comes to you in large portions (be ready to share if you aren't hungry!) Friendly Service. This should be a staple in anyones musical week.
Great place if you are a jazz head like myself. Just the history of the place is enough to require a visit. But the intimacy of the audience and the performer is incomparable to any other venue.
very nice place to go: Jazz lovers!!! this is a place for you. It's amazing how small it is but attract so many people. Normally, it's better to call in to reserve your seat(s), if not you may have to wait and sometimes go home empty handed. What would be better to go with a friend who also love jazz. I am hanging out there again tonight.
