| About: | Nestled among Georgetown's fancy restaurants, this small establishment serves up inexpensive Mediterranean dishes with individual portions large enough for two. Only two tables fit inside the tight space here. A small counter is available. On good-weather days, take food to benches along the nearby C&O Canal . Everything is made fresh, including the super thick Pita Bread at Moby Dick House Of Kabob. Gyros are packed with meat, onions, lettuce, tomato and feta cheese. Kabobs are usually served on a plate with rice. Juices and soft drinks are also available. There are additional locations in Bethesda, Crystal City, McLean, and Fairfax. |

I love Moby Dick and go there all the time. Aside from what everybody else has written, they also have great bread, yogurt dip, and hummus! You will leave there feeling really full!
LOVE the place: I love this place. I am a big fan of fency restaurants so I at first thought I would hate this place. However, when I tried their food I was shocked. They have the best kababs ever. Their food is fresh and well seasoned. They ALWAYS have plenty of customers. I guess size and design does not metter as long as you have delicious food. I would highly recommend to give it a try. You won't be dissapointed
The #1 Spot for Mediterranean: Moby's was one of the first places I decided to check out when I got here to Dc, and for good reason... the reviews of the place were always high, and while it's not exactly a place I would go for a sit down meal, and it takes me forever to get there from my abode in MD, it's still well worth the $7 I'll plop down for a hearty lamb meat platter.
For folks on a budget, you can't go wrong... if you can stand getting down there. The last time I went, a number of people had made catering orders, I think, and the service was kinda slow. But, all the other times I have went, things have been fine, since I usually call ahead for my order and just bring it home.
The only complaint I have is the location but, that's only because I'm still trying to get used to manuvering an automobile in Washington DC, which is horrific, and parking is even worse. Every once in awhile, I'll just do a quick stop right in front of the building (which is illegal) but, most times, I can never find somewhere to park, and georgetown is notorius for bad traffic, and worse drivers. (mostly college kids... which suprizingly, I'm one of!)
SO, the point is this... GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICE... but, I think I may just make it at home.
