Sushi Aoi

I have been to Sushi Aoi several times for lunch, as it's close to my office. I find the sashimi lunch to be generous and delicious -- large pieces of very fresh salmon, tuna, yellowtail and a white fish. The accompaniments (soup, salad) are also good. Service is fine. Downsides are that it's noisy, and there are no desserts offered. If you want a table without waiting, come at noon or wait until after 1:30.

I will never go back to this awful place: Visited there first time after seeing some ads in magazines & freepapers. I am Japanese & eat sushi quite often. Sushi was just okay (the shushi chef was not Japanese, though), but other things were horrible (like teriyaki & shogayaki). When I inquired, the server said "these are instant food. We do not make them." without hesitation. They just microwave them! Soba looked awful too, since other Japanese customers barely touched it. Service was pretty bad, as you expect. Gratuity was already included in the tab. I will never eat there again.

Great sushi and terrific service: The place is right around the corner from my office and is a frequent lunch stop, as well as a great place to grab dinner with friends or call in a take-out order on the way home. Always great quality sushi and reliable service whether I eat in or take out. Both quality and service are consistently good.
