About:This Adams-Morgan spot draws a sophisticated drinking and dining crowd. Live music occasionally spruces up an already active scene. The terrace overlooking busy 18th Street has a string of prized tables that are difficult to snag. There is also a larger terrace, as well as indoor dining on two levels. Each dining room has its own bar, giving both rooms a casual, convivial atmosphere. Pizza cooked in wood ovens is a popular favorite here, along with tapas and pasta dishes. Plenty of places to sit inside.

I went to this place yesterday and once we walked in my friend said "It smells like roaches in here". I laughed thinkin she was teasin (there was few clientele). Once we sat down at the bar a big roach crawled up to me. I screamed and pointed at it and the bartender killed it wit a napkin. We decided not to eat there but have a drink (at least we can see whats inside the drink). Before we could even finish the drinks little baby roaches started crawling on the bar counter toward the wet cup circles our cups were making. We sipped up and bounced. I'll never go there again...Im surprised it is so packed on Saturdays and no one ever mentioned their pest problem. Clearly if there is roaches in the bar area there are roaches in the kitchen. Bon appetit!

Avoid at all costs: This was the one place in Adams Morgan that wasn't packed on Saturday night. We soon found out why. Their drinks were overpriced, and we had to serve ourselves at the bar, since their waitstaff ignored us. We ordered food, also at the bar due to the poor service, and when it came out over an hour later, the chicken on the salad was raw. Not undercooked, not slightly pink. Completely raw.

Our burgers were all stone cold from sitting god-knows-where for god-knows-how-long. They didn't give us a discount, or even apologize. And I had to steal ketchup from the bar, because despite asking repeatedly, no ketchup was ever brought over. Their furniture was filthy - all the couches and chairs had stains, only one of which was scrubbed while we were there. Stay away.

MMM...Tater Tots: All I have to say is that if you're looking for one of the best brunches on the weekend, don't even bother going up the street to the diner. For about $8, you can get one of the brunch specials at Tom Tom's, which is a generous portion of whatever breakfasty food you chose (such as various omelets or skillets), home fries (these are good, but substitute the tater tots - they're to die for! best tater tots in the city - hands down), and your choice of one of the eye opener drinks (mimosa, bloody mary, etc.) which are normally $5 on their own. Tom Tom's has one of the most underrated, but intensely satisfying brunches I've ever eaten in this city. Don't bother with the Diner - the food's only okay, and it's overpriced. Tom Tom's will give you amazing food at a truly affordable price, which includes your beverage, leaving you with more cash to explore other parts of the city!
