About:This Washington landmark has been serving up hot dogs with chili, fries, hamburgers and shakes since 1958. Rumor has it that comedian Bill Cosby orders his chili dogs from Ben's when he comes to town. There is no table service, but after you order at the counter, you can sit in bright red booths. A wide range of hotdogs is served here, from the traditional dog to half-smokes and turkey dogs smothered in onions, cheese and chili. Fries and onion rings, cream pies and shakes are also offered, and breakfast is served six days a week.

    First off..we got seated in about 10 minutes by a very friendly smiling young lady..my wife ordered a tuna sandwich which was large and good..the french fries were excellent and a big big order...the chili was excellent though I wish it were hotter..all in all a nice experience..I have wanting to go there for years..its in a black neighborhood but the customers were 80% white..there were 20 in line when we left.....

    I went there but didn't order because the line was around the block. Took at pic of the front though just to say I have been there.

    I enjoyed my dining experience @ Ben's Chili Bowl: Menu Items are reasonally priced. The Chilli is delicious.
