The bone was great in the 1980s when I went to GWU. It was good before then and it is good to see that it is still good. I cannot wait to get back, hopefully will see Mike and Scooter there. How can a burger made in a basement be bad?
The Best Burgers in Town: Lindy's Bon Apptit (near GWU) has the best burgers and fries in the city. If you want a great burger and don't care about ambiance, then Lindy's is the place. This place, which is a favorite spot for GW students, is simple in design - you just order at the register, pay, and get your food to go. There are no indoor tables and just a few outdoor ones. To be fair, you can go to the Red Lion Pub upstairs, order from Lindy's (the food is sent up on a pulley), and eat at one of the pub's indoor or outdoor tables. The fries are not the thin variety that you get at fast food joints. Rather, they are steak fries, which at their best are a little crispy. There have been times that they've been soggy though. There are some chicken and vegetarian dishes on the menu too.
