About:Popular with neighborhood residents and those disembarking from Potomac River cruises, Cantina Marina is a great place to enjoy a drink or meal in a casual, outdoor, beach-like atmosphere. It is the only restaurant in DC located on top of the water, and may also be the only place that offers something for the patron's canine companions: a Monday night milk-bone bar. Menu offerings include several Cajun/Gulf Coast dishes and standard bar fare, and most nights of the week there are drink specials. Make sure to go when the weather is warm. Shorts and flip-flops welcome!

The atmosphere is alright, the food varies as to what is good by the dish and not always prepared or tasting the same twice. Pricing is up scale, staff is pleasant. Would like to see improvements in consistency of style and taste.

We Be Empty: Has potential, could be better and more affordable for a HH, though Parking is $15, unless you have a boat. Medium size Rail Drinks $6 apiece. 1030pm Memorial Day Friday, lots of boats in for the night, if not the weekend, kicking off the summer season... and there was maybe 30 people sitting around, with a mix of pop and 80's music in the background. Definitely not happenin; not a beachy, seaport kind of feel. Also, most of the outside bar area could have benfitted from being hosed down. I may try a sunset dinner up in the main restaurant, but I will not look there for nightlife again.

Casual waterfront dining at it's best!: You can't beat the food, the atmosphere, or the friendly service at this best-kept-secret on the Southwest Waterfront. Great after work and weekend afternoons. It's also a great place to throw a party--they'll cater everything.
