I attended the Trio for brunch. The food was decent. I had the western omelet with sausage. It was quite bland though. Nothing that a little salt and pepper didn't fix. I'm beginning to think that DC restaurants don't season their food.
Good, simple comfort food. It is an after-church favorite of ours.
Would not go back: I visited Trios while on a winter business trip. This restaurant is a diner trying to pass itself off as a steakhouse. My food was bland and my "medium" steak did not have a glimpse of pink in it. The cook appeared to be distracted by his family, who was having a raucous birthday party and allowing their screaming children to run around the restaurant unchecked. My dining companion ordered a club sandwich that was equally bland. We were very disappointed with our dining experience at Trios.
