Fantastic place with some truly incredible wine. The place is great to visit, the hospitality is always first rate, and their wine is a great example of the best of Virginia. The new Ranger Reserve is a perfect Bordeaux-style blend, and Adieu is the most awarded wine outside of California.
Some friends and I stopped by yesterday (9/27) and were treated quite rudely. We showed up with 11 people, unaware of their phone ahead policy, and an employee told us the tastings were only $2 per person. As we gathered around the tasting bar, another employee told us it would be $10, and we were not allowed to split into smaller groups (we were the only ones there). When we responded that we felt it was unfair, her response in an extremely unprofessional manner was, "No, what's unfair is that you show up with 11 people at 4:30." I guess they didn't want us to buy any wine. Whatever happend to customer service?
Will stop whenever I can: A superb atmosphere with absolutely wonderful wines. If you like sweet wines you will love this place. The table red wine is sweet and light and one you will go back for several times. Their dessert wine Adieu is finer this year than last...The Sevyal Blank is light and smooth and truly wonderful. The remodeled tasting room, deck and patio make a delightful place to enjoy the wine...The owners are welcoming and very friendly..Great visit.....
