Just a note to thank the owner and her staff for helping select our second puppy. Our first puppy we purchased from you two years ago has been healthy, happy and well adjusted. Making the transition with the second puppy has its challenges. All of your advice and guidance has made it go very smooth. We are so happy with our dogs and want to thank you again. See you soon for all of our supplies!
I have purchased two birds and a puppy at Fins & Feathers. I was impressed with the kindness and knowledge that the staff demonstrated. I believe that this store and the people that work there are hard working and make every effort to work with customers. If you frequent the store, then you know that they have been making physical changes (construction) and have made every effort to stay open during these changes. I know that a couple of times when I stopped at the store, the door was locked during the day and I had to come back later. I found out that someone had called in sick and that the manager had to go to the airport to pick up fish. I guess things like this happen when you have a small business. I know for a fact that there are SEVERAL signs posted that say DON'T PICK UP THE PUPPIES. The mouse92 probably couldn't see the signs from outside the store. But I'm sure she could see the sign that states what their business hours are. I have been shopping in this store for close to 3 1/2 years and can tell you from first hand knowledge, that the owner is a very caring person. She probably is stressed, but who isn't right now. I have seen her many evenings sitting on the floor playing with the puppies after hours. When I purchased my puppy, I was given cell phone numbers of the owner and the manager to call if I had any questions. They even followed up with phone calls for 3 days. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience, but sometimes we make our own experiences.
I say, GOOD JOB Fins and Feathers, you will always have critics, you can't keep 'em all happy. But thanks for making me HAPPY.
Lastly, it is awfully convenient, and I mean awfully, that you can post distored information about a store because you don't have to post your name. I am going to ask the owner about your incident. I imagine there are 2 sides to every story.
i believe with the chick below, the people working there are capable of that. the owner seems nice, but she always looks stressed. all the kids that work there are rarely working unless she's there.and the couple that works there is always on the computer or smoking, and they have never greeted me, not even once. the girl is rude. the boy can be nice sometimes. he's either angry or really friendly. once i walked in there and i had to wait about 10 minutes till someone came out from the back. it looked like the were having a party in the back. they're lucky im nice and didn't just grab my stuff and go. but then ive gotten there and found the doors locked at about 2-3pm with no sign or the door or anything. and dont try to ask any questions because it's like you're bothering them if you do. the owner really needs to find some real management to run her store before those kids put her out of business.
