As first time customers, I would say our experience with China Taste was average, if not below average. We ordered the quart size Chicken and Brocoli for $8, General Tso's Chicken for $11, and 2 Chicken Egg Rolls. It was about 20 minutes from our residence. They had no customers, were not busy, and our order was ready in 10 minutes.
Chicken and Brocoli: Despite the delicate slices of chicken, the sauce or grave was minimal, thin, and completely tasteless. It was extremely bland. It was cooked well, not undercooked, arrived hot, but seriously lacked taste. It lacked any robust flavor or *Asian* flavor or any FLAVOR.
General Tso Chicken: This dish was not worth the $11 price tag. It was not spicy, it was sweet. The sauce or gravy resembled a thin, orange water/oil. It was not thick, nor spicy, it was like they fried it and just poured the contents of the pan into the container. This dish was not General Tso in flavor or appearance, it was more Orange Chicken, and NOT worth the listing on the *Chef's Special* side for $11.
Egg Rolls: These tasted like regular egg rolls you get at lower-quality chain Asian take-outs. The *chiken* consisted of red flakes of possibly imitation chicken, surrounded by cabage, deep fried in the usual thick crispy outer crust. It was good if you like deep fried foods. The cost was .5 cents less then the Spring roll.
Would we go again? I doubt. It was fun trying out though for whatever it was worth.
I always have delivery service and it is so fast and the staff is always so friendly. Food is hot and excellent. It is our #1 choice!!!
Ask them to spice it up a bit, otherwise the food on some nights can be a bit bland! Great service though, and they have halal meat! Perfect...
