Marcel's was a great culinary experience. It had great service and amazing food as it is the second best french restaurant in dc to La citronelle.
I love the food here! The restaurant does not have stellar decor, but it is humble and still very cozy and nice (very lovely french country-like). What really stands out here is the service and the food! I'm definitely going back. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice date, fun night out with friends. This is a place where you can have a fine dining meal without the "uppity" atmosphere. I love it, and it's a little gem! Can't wait to go back.
Red carpet treatment without the carpet...or red: A classy, semi-upscale dining establishment, Marcel's makes you feel very welcomed. At the entrance, the maitre d' greets you, along with the soft, jazzy sounds of a piano player. The bar to the right gets you started. In the dining area, the setting is cozy. The food is exquisite...I had the duck ravioli and the lamb tenderloins. Naturally, prices are steep, but the service is excellent. The chef gave us the usual "compliments of the chef." If you've got some loot, come on through.
