    Reviews that have dinged this establishment as "not clean" or whined it is crowded on weekends were written by folks who should have gone to Artie's or Coastal Flats for so-so cuisine memorialized on budget-busting tabs.

    Blue Ridge used to be a local "secret" that those of us who've been there and both savored their seafood, cooked fresh and served in huge portions, and appreciate the personal attention lavished by the owner, wish had never been discovered by the aging Yuppies and other emigrant diletantes who think a crab house ought to have linen tablecloths rather than disposable brown paper.

    In my book, Blue Ridge rates five stars for both its food and an unexpected dining experience that replicates what you'd find in places such as Pope's Creek, where they set the standard for authentic "crab house."

    very good food. usually cute young ladies working there as well. can get pretty packed on weekends though
