I made reservations for my husband and I for a nice Christmas Eve dinner. I had waited for a long time to go to Casey Jones and was excited that the time had finally come until we were seated. They seated us at a table not even big enough for a party of one, much less for a party of two. We were very cramped and my husband could not move his right arm because the table we were seated at was extremely close to another table. I felt like we were in a cruise ship dining room only smaller. I complained to the manager and hoped to be seated elsewhere. They could do nothing for us because all tables had been reserved by other parties. My husband and thought that if we were going to pay $$$$ for a meal they should at least be able to seat us in a better location, since they did not, we got up and walked out. I advise anyone wanting to go there for the holidays when you call to make reservations even if you are a party of two specifically ask for a booth.
Good luck as we will not be going back!
Dinner in LaPlate/Casey Jones: The food is excellent. Fairly extensive wine selection at very reasonable costs. Service is excellent and friendly. Cost fir a great dinner with wine and dessert is rather reasonable.
Locally Owned and Top of the Line: Now has 4 seating areas. Craftsman and Morris Decor that is beautiful. Dining Room with high end, chef produced, unusual cuisine. Delicious. New Railroad Dining Area- you might see the train go right by. More casual but very nice- pub menu and a couple Dining Room entrees offered. Pub and Patio area dining areas- casual also but same food. Local Heirloom Produce and Natural, Free Range Meat. All top quality.
