Last year I had a bad experience with these guys when I needed to return a leased vehicle. I leased a vehicle from Tischer and I had stopped at this dealership when I was shopping for cars, but I ended up buying a new car from another dealer.
Nonetheless, when it came time to return my old leased Nissan, I called ahead to Tischer to arrange the drop-off. I was told the return process was easy and that I could stop by anytime. It was about 6pm on a weekday. I drove to Tischer right after the call.
At the dealership, the salesman that I had met before when I was still car shopping saw me and was quick to offer help. After I explained that I was only there to return my lease vehicle, he shut down pretty quickly. He told me that "the guy that handles leases" had gone home for the day.
I protested, saying that I had called ahead less than an hour ago to arrange the lease return, but the salesman just shrugged and walked away.
It turns out that you can return a leased Nissan at any Nissan dealer, and you don't have to go back to the same location where you've leased it in the first place. Save your time and money and go to a dealer where they'll treat you with a little respect.
I've had my vehicles serviced twice by Tischer Nissan and got a quote a 3rd time. Everytime I've gone there they create a laundry list of "recommended" repairs that aren't necessary. The service salemen get paid on commission, so they want you to buy as many parts as possible. I went there last week with a bad fuel injector and they wanted me to pay $3000. So, we took our van to All Pro Car Care in Laurel and had the same work done for $1200. Unlike the dealer who wanted to replace every part that could be part of the problem without actually knowing the problem, All Pro actually took the time to work through the problem instead of just replacing a bunch of parts that may have been the problem. Our van runs great now and we will never go to the dealer for service again...its just as difficult as buying a new car.
I had a very nice experience with the sales person (yolanda) she was great. She showed me the car and would not take any short cuts. The dealership handled the sale late which led to us being there 2 hours after closing. The sales had to have something checked and they offered to come get the car from my house. I went back to get my tags and yolanda remembered my whole name. I only had little contact with service and it seemed fine.
