PROUD OF PROUD MARY: This is the absolute best resturant in Maryland. I rather be at Proud Mary's that Ruth Chris, Morton's or any other pricey Restuarnts. I Can't say enough so i won't.
Summer Fun!: This is a nice place to dock your boat and have a great meal and drinks.
Is this place for real?: Maybe we hit this place on an off night, but the service we received was nothing short of terrible. Although it was only half full, we waited to be seated, waited to get the menus, waited to have our orders taken, and then REALLY waited for our dinners to arrive. Total time elapsednearly 1 ½ hours. When the food finally arrived, it was obvious that it had been sitting for some time in the back, as it was nearly cold. But being afraid of how long it would disappear if we sent it back, and also being pretty hungry by this point, we just ate it.
Unfortunately, there wasnt much there to eat. The crab cakes were appetizer sized, although the price was not. They were accompanied by an equally small portion of vegetables. The rest of the plate was covered in carrot shavings in an attempt to disguise all the white space. I had ordered a side of sweet potatoes, which turned out to be a very scanty serving in a tiny saucer for which I was charged an extra $2. No bread appeared, although the waitress had talked about the delicious cornbread that had just come out of the oven. Maybe we needed to have ordered that separately as well.
Being still hungry after dinner, we ordered the apple dessert. This turned out to be the only decent sized item (it was bigger than the entire dinner, sweet potatoes included), but it was also temperature challenged. It was scalding, and I do mean scalding, hot.
The other disappointing thing about this restaurant was that although it is on the waterfront, you dont get to enjoy looking at the water as you eat. Alas, the restaurant is on the wrong side of the building and you have to settle for looking at a mural of the waterfront on the wall instead.
I rated this restaurant a two rather than a one because the food would actually have been good, what there was of it, if it had been the proper temperature. My advice would be to eat something before you go, and dont go when you are in a hurry. Better yet, maybe you just shouldnt go at all.
