Lake Arbor Elementary School

Lake Arbor Elementary School is a good school; although I think the principal is arrogant and rude. His concerns are only helping his family members that attend and work at the school, which I think is unfair. I am a parent who child attends LAES and feel strongly that he directs special attention to those individuals that has affiliation with friends of the family. I may also add the disnissal process is a bit sloppy and needs some work. Yeah okay for the first three weeks of school teachers are visualant and monitoring the dismissal, but after that they disappear. Last year my child wore a assigned sticker indicating her dismissal assignment and destination and the was getting ready to put her on a yellow school bus going out of residential area. Luckily being the aggressive parent that I am, I was observing the whole dismissal seen to see how my daughter was being handle as well as how she adapt to the dismissal environment, and I was watching this this lady getting ready to put her on a yellow school bus that was going to Mitchellville somewhere, when I intervene and said Mam this is my daughtet she has a sticker on her shirt that indicates her dismissal destination. I live directly across from the school my daughter does not even qualify for the bus boundary pick up. I address this issue with Mr. Green and of course he saw it as no big deal. Basically he was glad that I was their to catch the mistake, and I ask well what if I was not their , then where would my child wind up. I stated to him I do not understand why this happen because she is wearing a sticker sent to me by the school with instructions for her to waer on the first day of school so that teachers will know each child dismissal destination. He nonchalntly replied mam the bus driver would not have let her off the bus if she did not know where to get off at. Which was a lie. Had it been one of his family members that attend the school, I beleive that situaton would have been handle differntly. Hopefully my child will have a better school year than last year as for Mr. Green I do not deal with at all due to his nasty disposition and his unapproachable attitude.
