I love pizza and subs . I am not a fat but a guy who works out and can bench 480 and my waist is a buff 32 . Now this PIZZA OVEN has some of the best pizza I have ever has . Ledo's is good but this stuff is better . The subs are fat filled with meat and not the fillers stuff you may get at your local Jerry's . This place in Riverdale is own by local football coach that lives in New Carrollton . This place rocks and will feed you good . The down side is you can not by beer here and that maybe a good thing . These people take pride in what they cook and the line for pizza when the Redskins are playing at home can cost you a extra 15 mins . Plain and simple the steak&cheese will make you humble !

I have seen this little sub shop while going into another restaurant but have never gone inside even though tempted to because I saw advertised in their window that they sell gyros, which I love, but for some reason have never gone in. Well today I was talking with my neighbor and mentioned that I was planning to go to Subway to get a sandwich for dinner and she mentioned Pizza Oven and how she use to order food from there a lot when she used to babysit and when her kids were living at home. She said the subs were really good, so I decided to give it a try because their prices were cheaper than Subway's. I was pleasantly surprised. I of course ordered the gyros which had the option of a combo. Not only was the gyro good but the fries were really good too. Usually when you order fries from a sub place or non-burger restaurant they are the thick steak fries which are undercooked and soggy. These were some of the best fries I have ever had. They were crispy and very tasty. They way they prepared the food kept the food nice and hot and kept the fries from getting soggy. I can't wait to try their cheese fries and pizza fries and their other foods.

The pizza was fairly good. a bit on the greacy side but still worth it. also there ribs were some of the best ive had. the lasanga is slammin...i would recommend that before anything else. the spaghetti aint bad either. stay away from anything that is supposed to be fried. everything there they cook in an oven. and stuff that is supposed to be fried does not taste right coming out of an oven or microwave.
