Unfortuanatley my daughter picked this driving school to go to. To start on the second day of class, myself and my daughter were told we were out of their area for pick up on scheduled driving lesson. So on her first driving lesson she was dropped her off at the school at 11am. They could not find her paperwork and the Mrs. Gaines had the nerve to yell and scream at my daughter calling her irresponsible and she didn't listen. That she was suppose to be picked up at home! Oh, I was in my car with teh quickness! As I said we were told we were out of their pick up area. I proceeded to talk with Ms. Cunningham about the situation and she was very understanding and said if was a miscommunication. I advised Ms. Cunningham that I wanted Mr. Gaines before the end of the day.

Well, when he called me back. He danced around the issue of his wife screaming at my child and said he could not address the issue because he didn't know what was said. I said oh, ok. And ended the call. And proceeded to call MVA, I will be filing a formal complaint against them. If you can not handle working with kids or evn know how to talk to someone you don't need to be in business!

And she wasn't showed how to reverse in a straight line or told what she would be tested on when she go get her license.

Hi, I would like to say to MS Kay. If you are out of the Driving Pick up or Drop off, they can not do so. Plus, During the Class Mr & or Mrs Gaines will ask the student to give Short Excellent Driving Driections to either Work, Home or School depending on the hrs and what not. I went to that School and am very proud that I passed. I had Mrs Gaines & Mr Gaines.. Both were very understanding and helped me..If Mrs Gaines did yell at your daughter, She probably did it within reason because your daughter does not listen. Just try going to another school IN YOUR AREA! Good Luck.

Three unfortunate behind-the-wheel experiences: I'm really glad the previous user didn't have as bad an experience as me and my two friends did at nu-way. Basically the class was fine.

However, the main behind-the-wheel instructor, Mr. Gaines, screamed at me for the whole time I was behind the wheel and I'm not even that bad, I was just slow because I was new. He also screamed at the other two people in the car the whole time. Also he never showed up for my friend's behind the wheel hours, kept rescheduling them without giving notice. He yelled at her the whole time too and now she's a student at Yale and still too scared to drive a car. He also screamed at my little brother the whole time during his behind-the-wheel hours two and a half years after these incidents with my session, so it's not like it was a one-time thing.

I find screaming at inexperienced drivers with multiple people in the car to be inexcusable. Hopefully you'll get Mrs. Gaines instead of Mr. but don't hold your breath. It's also considered a corrupt practice to have behind-the-wheel hours shared between drivers. We're supposed to get 6 hours with no other people in the car, but since it's shared at nu-way, if you literally count it up, we don't even get half the amount we're supposed to. If you're already stuck at nu-way, maybe requesting a different instructor could help. But otherwise, my advice would be avoiding this school.

Good Teaching Methods: I liked Nu-Way, because the instructors made sure that I was clear on the art of driving. I also like the fact that I can have real driving time on the road. Even the owner of the school drives us around. I think that is really cool.

I think this school needs to be reported and investigated.. these are first time drivers and young adults we are putting on the road screaming and misconduct should not be tolerated.. I won't be signing my child up here
