I went to Mama's with my bosses on Administrative Assistance Day. IT WAS TRULY AWESOME. I loved the food, the service - everything. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was perfectly cooked. Bread was very good and the [Italian] House dressing was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone who wants good food for lunch or dinner.

This place has very good Italian food...not the best, but it's good. Their Pasta Carbonara is very delicious. It's a nice cozy intimate type atmosphere...perfect for a first date or just a romantic date in general.

Our review is for the Mama Stella's in Bryans Road Maryland. We have never eaten at the Branch Road restaurant.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and this is our first review ever.

We went to the restaurant at about 5:15 PM and we were the second table seated. We left the dinner area at about 6:00 and there were only 5 tables with people eating. The customers were a mix of younger people and older people. 2 tables had children. The interior decoration was average with pictures on the wall. Some of the painter’s pictures were for sale inside the front entrance. The restaurant was quiet, but I am sure some children's noise would not be a distraction. The service from our waitress through out the dinner was excellent. Now for the meal..

Our drink orders were taken soon after we were seated. My wife asked for a Michelob Ultra and a Diet Coke and I asked for a Yuengling draft (I had seen the draft beers while checking out the bathroom on the way in. On draft were Yuengling, Coors Light, Bud Light and Miller Light). The menu was given to us and at first glance, there is too much to choose from. The server arrived with some bread and our drinks. The first minor issue was the Yuengling draft was out, so if I wanted Yuengling I would have to order it from a bottle. No problem, I took the bottle. After hemming and haahing for a few minutes my wife and I had decided on our dinner. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. I ordered the Baked Clams Casino appetizer and the Spaghetti Italian Sausages Pomidori. The salads arrived before the clam appetizer. I ordered the house dressing on my dressing. This was an Italian dressing, it was good. The clams arrived while eating the salad. The taste of the clams was good, but they were chewy. The dinner arrived soon after. Both meals were great. The pasta was perfect and the taste and spices of both were perfect. Although the sauce on the Pomidori did not look like much, once mixed with the spaghetti, it was perfect. We were so full we did not order dessert total bill not counting my beer - $33. After the meal we headed to the bar to check it out and look at the desserts. The desserts looked awesome and we will have to get some next time. The bar area was a smoking area. There were only 2 other customers in the bar, so the smoke was not too bad. I had 2 beers and my wife had 1 soda the bill was a little over $13 - expensive. Our rating out of 10:

    Ambiance - 7
    Service - 8
    Noise - 8
    Appetizer - 2
    Dinner - 8
    Bar – 5

    My Yahoo rating 3.75

Will we eat at this place again? Yes we will and we will try something different and rate it again. Thanks for reading.
