User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat Resturant with Character: Franklins is my favorite local restaurant, it has style, good service and a solid menu. The BBQ there is good, but the specials have been good enough to tempt me away from BBQ a time or two and never disappointed. Price is reasonable as well and the restaurant has a toy shop attached with doodads for the kids and young at heart.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat beer, fun atmosphere.: This is a fun restaurant. Everything I have ever had at Franklin's has been good. I really like their beer and their burgers. Service can be a little slow from time to time, but still enjoyable.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest beer around: Franklin's has it all! Great family restaurant. The menu is different. I like the Shephard's Pie. My wife loves the Spinach Salad. Friends love the muscles. Try the Glorious Gloria Chicken sandwich. Mmmmmmm Gloria.
Best beer around. Great ole timey store. They still use the fixtures from the original Hyattsville Hardware. The items in the store are unique :)
Back to the beer! Simply the best. From the Blonde Bombshell to the Oatmeal Stout, you can't go wrong. Try the Private I.P.A my favorite... and the Anarchy.... and the Chaos......and the Turtle ....... and ahhhhhhh

I've been to Franklin's several times and enjoyed thier menu on all occasions. However, the last time I went I decided to get carryout and ordered the calamari and buffalo wings. The calamari was great as usual...however, it was not until I ate the wings that I realized they were old, tough and simply reheated. I was thoroughly disgusted and annoyed that I spent 10 bucks on old wings. I'll never go back. I should have known something was wrong when they brought my food out in under 5 minutes.
