It's amazing this company is in business still, if they treat all the vehicles in the same manner in which i witnessed.

I was driving on Rt. 1 SB in Hyattsville, heading home from work at 0215 in the morning and noticed a SUV being towed, front end lifted and the rear on rollers. I saw sparks coming from the right roller and the tire of the vehicle being towed was hitting the road and burning the rubber off of it. I caught up to the tow truck and honked my horn. The driver stopped the truck and I told him that it appears the right roller axle may have given out on because of what I saw and heard. He stated he heard nothing but looked at it anyway. He acknowledged that the tire was hitting the road and in passing i said that the tire is probably ruined by now and if not, it would be soon. He could of cared less and asked me if it was my car. I responded with "no" and then he told me "to not worry about it then, its not your problem" I attempted to argue the point that what he was doing to someone else's vehicle was wrong, no matter the situation, but he couldn't of cared any less. He then attempted to argue that vehicle could of been his, and I couldn't prove it wasn't. But at 0230 in the morning, how likely are you to be towing your own vehicle and not care what happens to it during the tow. And had it been his vehicle, a normal reaction to the situation would of been to look at it, acknowledge the situation and probably state it is your vehicle and you would handle it. But he never did state it was his. He got back in the truck and drove off again. The towed vehicle making the same noise and sparks as before. I couldn't believe the laxidaxical attitude about this situation. But after reading the other reviews about this tow company, doesn't surprise me.

No matter the reason for towing a car, there needs to be a level of professionalism and ethical behavior that would keep the drivers from treating other peoples property like this.

Please keep in mind, I have never heard of, dealt with, or used this towing company before this incident. I was just a passer-by who was trying to do the right thing of notifying the driver of the truck of a dangerous situation.

They towed my car in the middle of the night from my own apartment complex in which I even have to pay for the parking spot. They stated my plates were expired. My plates are from Texas, the tags were on the window. They would not let me see my car to prove my car was good without first putting my credit card on file. I contacted the police who would not intervene. I showed them I was in the right but they still charged me. Furthermore they towed my car from the rear. My car is front drive with parking brake in place with trans in park with wheels turned slightly to the left so they damaged my car. I contacted the company repeatedly with no response. I contacted my credit card to report fraud. They have an "F" on the Better Business website with dozens of complaints and no responses. State attorney generals office also has complaints.

Robey's is totally trifling. They are liars, and treat people very unfair. My sisters car was towed tonight, even though she had an expired visitor's parking pass, but the car next to her didn't have anything at all! The tow driver lied, and said his other worker towed it and come to find out he was the only one on duty. To make matters worse, he wouldn't give us the address. We had to call and keep getting hung up on by the rude lady that's supposed to be the owner! Then gives bogus directions by saying its by the McDonalds. It's no where near McDonalds. You have to ride almost 10 more minutes to find them from McDonalds. We were told that the fee was less if we got there by midnight, and we finally found it at 10 minutes to 12 and she told us on the phone we have to wait until the driver gets there. There's noone in the office. They try their best to jack the price up for people and its ridiculous. Tonight, I watched their heartless driver still tow a young mother's car away, while she stood outside in the cold air with her 4 month old crying, infant child in her arms while she said she didn't have any money. They are cruel.
