I was very pleased with every one at Kerley Signs from the design team to the installers. My salesperson came out to my location and made suggestions to help me come up with the best sign for my location and business, but still listened to my concerns as well. They came up with several âsketches,â to show my building and what the sign would look like on it. It makes it easier to make a decision as to colors and styles when you can see it on your building! I had no problem understanding that there was a cost in Kerley Signs going to the county to apply for the permit. Iâve dealt with the county before in acquiring permits for other things, and it is not an easy nor quick thing to do (time I do not have to spend). I was happy to let Kerley Signs take that headache away for me. There was no mark up on the permits either, I know because they gave me a copy of the permit which had the costs listed directly on them. The installers were quick and friendly to deal with. I originally had purchased channel letters for the outside of my building and have since gone back to get lettering done on my store front windows. If there is any other work that I will need in the future, I plan on calling Kerley Signs to have it done.
I have worked with this firm for 10 years on a wide variety of products. They do first rate work and I would strongly recommend them.
Kerley Signs designed and installed an entry sign for our community. The service we received on the front end was excellent and the sign was installed per the initial contract specifications. We were really pleased on that front. However, Kerley Signs did not build the sign to our countyâs specifications and was unwilling to work with us to help meet the countyâs requirements once the sign was installed. The initial design which we signed off on was rejected by the county, so Kerley revised and resubmitted a sketch that the county did approve. Our community, however, was not given the new sketch to approve and the sign was not built with the revised features (it was built per the original sketch). This caused a great deal of back and forth with the county and required us to hire another contractor to help bring the sign up to code. While we were trying to resolve the issue with the county, Kerley Signs conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner and treated us with complete disrespect which further made this experience unpleasant. Also, we found their contract to be somewhat misleading. Any reasonable person would interpret the language they used on our contract to be that the permit acquisition would be charged with no additional mark-up, but really their practice is to charge $350 plus the countyâs fees. Thatâs a mark-up. I am told that they are changing the language to be clear for future customers, but it was still a disappointment we encountered. In sum, if you value customer service and professionalism as well as a quality product, I would not recommend Kerley Signs for any project.
