My wife and myself were blessed by a chance meeting of a patient of Dr Polan's at a local Target store. She highly recommended Dr Polan for foot and ankle problems. Dr Polan was very astute and careful in handling my ankle problem, which was caused by a MRSA infection. He covered all bases before performing surgery on my torn Achilles tendon, caused by the infection. Dr Polan is a caring physician who has the interest of his patient in his heart. He once contacted me at 8am on a Sunday morning to check on how I was doing because he was concerned about me. He also called me while I was in the hospital being treated for an unrelated issue. He again called me at home to check on me. Finally he contacted another of my doctors while I was being treated by the doctor and in his office because he was worried about me ( a severe medication reaction) and wanted to know how I was doing. How many doctors have done this for you? Dr Polan was very thorough in his instruction to me on how the surgery would go and the rehabilitation afterwards. It is the most thorough explanation that I have ever received. Dr Polan is a fantastic multi-tasked and he does not get exited I his dealing with patients in his office, even in hectic times. He reminds me of a Gentle Ben. I have been treated for foot problems in the west, southwest, midwest, south, and Europe. None of the doctors treated me with the expertise and professionalism that Dr Polan has shown and performed. Dr Polan is still treating me and now he is treating my wife for her foot problems. We both have total faith in him. I must also note that he has a highly professional office staff working for him. Dr Polan's personality and professionalism is shown in them as well. I highly recommend Dr Polan for any foot or ankle problems.
