The food here was good, but nothing to write home about. I have eaten at Chinese vegetarian restaurants in California before, and the food there was better. The reviews here state the service was bad, but I disagree. I thought the service was average and didn't have much to complain about. The prices also seemed fairly reasonable.
I think this place is worth a try though. It's really a personal taste ... I think some people would really enjoy this place.
Excellent food, excellent service. When my kids come visit us from NYC, this restaurant is on their list of places to go. We have never been disappointed in our meals. The owner makes sure that she greets everyone who enters her establishment.
For those people on a tight budget, I recommend the lunchbox (M-F).
Extremely poor service. The waitress seemed to be in hurry in taking orders and when asked to come later she denied roughly saying she is busy. They didn't put plate, fork and knife for my dad and when asked, rather than set it up on table, it was given on my father's hand from the other side of round table. Very unprofessional. During the course of dinner, no courtesey to ask how is the food, did anybody need anything, nothing. Very disappointed. In the last, waitress complaint I gave re-look the bill for the tip, said that's not enough. That was unbelievable and extreme case of unprofessionalism I ever saw in my entire life. Do not recommend anyone to go there.

Most Americans are used to a certain way of treatment in restaurants. When dealing with restaurants with ownership of different cultures, one has to adapt to get the type of service desired. You have the option not to return, and I understand your sentiment. However, I have found that if you simply demand what you want (not having to be so polite), you will get your way here. The food is really good for vegetarians. You don't have to tip them either.
