User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI just went there for the first time with my wife after reading good reviews on yahoo. I can say the food there is good but not too good.
It was hard for me to decide what to order as there is no picture in the menu and when I asked the waiter there for recommendations she could not give me good recommendation at all so I ended up ordering two.-

Hinode was Excellent! we ate Sushi platter(they called "Fish lovers for Two"). That was very nice presentation with wooden boat. you can order sushi only with 4 people or sushi and sashimi combination for 2. it was more than 50pcs. all fish was fresh and comes with miso soup, salad, 2 appetizer and mochi ice cream. i can't beleive $60 for excellent dinner with 2 or 4 people in local japanese restaurant. we loved it! highly recommand.

My daughter's third grade class went on a field trip, to a Japanese restaurant: Hinode. She loved it, and for her next birthday (9 years old), she wanted me to take her there for dinner. We both loved, it and thus began a tradition: I've taken her there every birthday since, including last night, her 19th birthday. It hasn't changed much in 10 years: good food, low prices, friendly people, happy customers, fun atmosphere. We'll keep going there once a year for as long as she wants her old man to take her to dinner on her birthday.

That reminds me of me and my dad! And I'm married now but whenever I'm in town we always eat sushi together, difference now? We accompany it with saki for both of us! I hope your tradition last as long as ours has! Cheers!
