User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDelicious, wonderful and true to form!! We have not found any place that comes as close to true homemade. They make their own pasta, only fresh ingredients, excellent wood-fried pizza and homemade rich desserts will do here. My husband and I have been to other establishments in and around the area, this is the best we have had in a long time! We return often with our kids and everything we have had on the menu is great!! If you want Roma go to Rustic Oven if you want same old, same old go anywhere else!!

wow!! my wife and I moved here a few months ago from North Carolina and we cant believe this little gem is right in our back yard! as former restraunt owners ourselves, we know what work goes into making good food. this is true southern Italian fare, and yes, there really is a "mamma"! only thing, request elaini as youre server, the other wait staff seem to be only part timers, and unfortunately dont appear to care

Had a late lunch there with my husband. His spaghetti carbonara was delicious; smoky slab bacon; egg / cream sauce had just the right flavor and consistency; pasta -- al dente; generous portion. My eggplant Parmigan was delicious: breading was extremely thin; eggplant not over cooked; accompanying pasta -- al dente; tomato based sauce was truly exceptional -- never had anything quite like it. Calamari frtti appetizer was very lightly breaded and calamari was not rubbery. Cannoli filling was just right; shell was from Vaccaro's, as all shells are in this area. Service was good, although place was not very busy. This was first time at this place. Will go back.
