I went to Prompt Med Urgent Care because it had a convenient location but ended up wasting my money and time. No other patient was at facility but I still had a 45 minute wait. When I tried to tell the Dr my symptoms, he glanced at area then cut me off without even listening. He asked no questions, told me he wasn't sure what my condition was and said it could be a number of things (without elaborating on what things it could be.) Then he left the room and came back with Rx for antibiotics and told me to come back in 2 weeks if condition wasn't better. When I got to front desk, I was then told that my insurance was not accepted by Prompt Med and my $20 copay turned into a $85 expense. I promptly paid and left thinking at least I'll know never to go there again. I went to another clinic where the Dr spent more than 5 minutes with me and diagnosed my condition then gave me the correct medicine. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else!

I've visited Potomac Prompt Medical many times for my children and myself. You know the phone call from the school nurse that your kid has a fever and is throwing up? Of course you pediatrician can't see you for two days - but I just pick them up from school head over to PPM and a doctor will see them right away. The doctors there actually remember my family more then the big practice they've been going to their whole lives!
