Domino's Pizza

Dominos Pizza, 15530 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD. I ordered a lg pizza with olives, mushrooms and green onions and waited for it. I took note that the employees used their bare hands to make the pizza and to cover it with toppings, just after having handling my money. The person behind the counter was very unfriendly, so I did not ask about their food handling safety. When the pizza was cooked, the same man told me they had made a mistake and topped it with olives, onions and green peppers. I asked them to make a fresh one since none of us like green peppers. We waited for 10 minutes in our car and the same man brought out the "fresh" pizza. Because there were children in the car and they needed to eat, I accepted it without looking at it and left. When we arrived home, we discovered they gave us the same pizza with green peppers. I called and asked them why they did that and the response was, "we gave you the wrong pizza"! I asked for another one with only mushrooms and olives to be delivered. However, we were really concerned that the pizza may not be safe to eat. We did receive it within 20 minutes and examined it carefully before eating, but with serious trepidation about our health. We will not return to this Dominos again. I am wondering why laws do not require the handling of fresh foods with gloves. Handling of food is one of the easiest ways to spread bad germs. I would even go further and require a mask to cover the nose and mouth if I could. My visits to restaurants and fast foods is less and less frequent because I know good food safety is not a priority in a lot of establishments.
