    Dr. Avallone has been treating my daughter for 2 years. He always has a wonderful manner with her, and she is only 8. Her vision has also improved under his care, which is obviously why we are there. He also has alot of patience if I have to bring her little sister along too.

    But I am not writing the review about those wonderful attributes. Recently I ended up at his office for my daughter's appointment and I was stressed about some other facet of my busy modern life. I didn't say anything, but it was hard to hide my troubles. In the course of the appointment, Dr. Avallone treated my daughter, and addressed her as a patient, and then quietly addressed my stress. I was so very thankful that he asked if I was ok, I just can not thank him enough for him compassion that day. This man is a true provider, both for the patient at hand, and those all around.

    Thought I would contribute a review since I looked at previous reviews before taking my son to Dr. Avallone. My son has been seeing him since August and he is WONDERFUL! Best doctor we've ever had. He performed surgery on my son recently and we were all totally at ease through the entire process. Absolutely the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever had. The minute you meet him you feel at ease knowing that you are in excellent hands. I would recommend him to anyone. Thrilled that my son will continue to go to him in order to be monitored as he grows.

    Dr Avallone adjusts his "bedside" manner to whomever he's speaking with. With preteen/teen boys, he talks directly to them, teases them gently, and doesn't talk down at all. With parents, he takes a different approach but the goal is the same, to make you at ease. His staff is top-rate. Sometimes I have to wait-- it's probably because he is giving someone else his close attention.
